ABOUT THE AUTHOR

My name is Hayley Kanbara, and I am a graphic designer and digital illustrator.  Visually Blind is a project that I wanted to do to introduce people aphantasia, and how our imaginations can be hardwired differently from each other.  I always thought that how I imagined and processed visual information was normal.  I thought that everyone didn't actually see visual images, and that things like counting sheep didn't involve actually seeing sheep in your head.  After learning about aphantasia, I decided to create this short graphic novel to help educate folks and share my experiences with the condition.
